Hi, Lex here!

Welcome to my little corner of the graphic design world.

  • I’m just a late-twenties depressed, ADHD, and graphic designer saddie with a soul that yearns to read good books, eat fig newtons and make stuff with my hands to support fellow small businesses in my local communities.

I currently live in Tokyo Japan at Yokota Air Base with my boo and our two criminal kitties. The communities and people our hearts call home are Sacramento, California, Pocatello, Idaho and Warrensburg, Missouri.

  • At my core, I believe in designs that rebel against the corporate tide, embracing and amplifying the unique spirits of local and main street ventures. My studio’s tagline, "Designs against corporate tide. Branding local and main street spirits," encapsulates this.

When I embarked on my journey in the world of business, I found myself wrestling with the challenge of fitting into the traditional narrative, especially in terms of branding & marketing. Unlike many creators who thrive online, I didn't find authenticity in the same digital spaces.

My struggle to resonate authentically online left me feeling like I was navigating the business world all wrong. I discovered that my strengths lie in a different approach—a slower, more deliberate method of community building. In a marketing landscape that glorifies rapid-fire content creation and viral moments, I found solace in the authenticity of genuine connection over time.

I refuse to sacrifice my mental well-being and authenticity to feed the relentless appetite of algorithms. It took time to realize that I wasn't the one at fault; rather, the marketing space itself often perpetuates harmful, unsustainable practices that fail to consider individual identities and experiences.

Here, we choose to do things differently. We reject the guilt associated with unconventional methods, embracing the value of our unique processes. We prioritize mental health and humanity in our pursuit of success—success defined by our own standards, not by fleeting metrics or arbitrary benchmarks.

If you, like me, feel disconnected from the traditional branding and marketing landscape, you belong in this space. Together, we're dismantling outdated norms and reshaping the industry into a more human-centered space—one where authenticity, compassion, and individuality reign supreme.
